Peter Henry Architects and Douglas Matthews Architect completed the CFNS in 1999. The new office, which won a Lieutenant Governor's Award that year, is home for eight of Nova Scotia's most important cultural organizations. The offices, housed in the old Station at Pier 21 in Halifax, preserves the volume of the terminal while making a fanciful "mainstreet" on which the groups have their "front door".
